Welcome to Peffley's Canadian Wilderness Camp, located just north of Perrault Falls, Ontario off Highway 105 (Red Lake Road) approximately 165 miles north of International Falls, MN. Click here for map of how to reach camp.
Located 12 miles out (by our comfortable 21' fully enclosed passenger boat) on Wabaskang Lake, our camp has eight modern housekeeping cabins and is the only true (not road accessible) wilderness camp on the lake. As a boat-in camp, we offer the best of both worlds by providing guests a remote fishing destination (only accessible by boat or plane) where you can experience outstanding fishing for Walleye, Northern pike, Smallmouth bass, Jumbo perch and Whitefish without the costs and restrictions associated with a fly-in trip AND enjoy it in a true wilderness environment without the sounds of highway traffic as you try to relax and unwind in camp.
As a housekeeping camp, you are free to do what you want, when you want, with no pressure to be back in camp for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Eat when you want, fish when you want, sleep when you want! (isn't that what your vacation should be all about?) Take advantage of our close proximity to the best fishing the North end of Wabaskang Lake has to offer! Be to your hotspot in 10 minutes, come in for a quick nap, lunch or to rest the kids etc. At Peffley's you can run back into camp and be back on the fish in less than 30 minutes.
Peffley's Camp is the only camp located on the North end of Wabaskang Lake, is centrally located to the best fishing on the North end of Wabaskang , and sits on a rocky point overlooking the narrows to the East, where you will enjoy some of the most beautiful sunrises you can imagine. In the evenings, relax with the beauty of the Canadian Wilderness all around you. Fall asleep after a great day fishing to the haunting call of the loons as they echo across the lake. The peacefulness of our wilderness setting is something you must experience to fully appreciate.
Wabaskang Lake is well known for its excellent fishing for Walleye, Northern pike, Smallmouth bass, Jumbo perch and Whitefish. Our guests enjoy fishing for all these species from within a 10 minute boat ride from camp. An easy portage over Hobson Falls will provide guests the opportunity to fish waters that also have a very good population of Lake Trout, in addition to walleye, northern, smallmouth and perch. By boat or foot portages, you can fish as many as six other lakes from camp at no additional cost.
The fish cleaning station is screened-in for your comfort, has two sinks with running water, fish pans to take your cleaned fillets to your cabin, and is one of the cleanest you could hope to find in all of NW Ontario. Your catch for the day can be cleaned, packaged and frozen in the on-site freezer all in one building. Click here for photos of fish cleaning station.
During your stay at Peffley's Canadian Wilderness Camp, we are confident you will enjoy the outstanding fishing, the friendly atmosphere of the camp, the cleanliness of the camp, equipment and accommodations, and of course the scenery, wildlife and serenity of the Canadian wilderness. Come once, and discover why we have so many guests who have returned to camp for 10+ years!

"Great fishing, clean cabins, incredible scenery and outstanding service--that's why we come back every year!"
